Craigslist Missed Connections is a video installation paired with cardboard pieces. On a computer monitor is a video of people reading out Craigslist posts found on the “Missed Connections” tab. All posts were posted in the Milwaukee area. Enclosed by a black curtain to emulate the “void” of the internet. Mirroring the crying plea of the orignal poster. With the video are cardboard pieces from more Craigslist Missed Connections postings; paired with a Google Earth image of the area where the post was located/where the missed connection occurred. I also drew directly on the cardboard to show what the post entails, using the original post's handwriting.
