Lyle Atkinson (b.2003) is a multidisciplinary artist based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, whose practice spans video, photo, performance, sculpture, painting, drawing, and noise. Being from the Rust Belt of the Midwest, Lyle’s work examines the quiet humor he finds, focusing on past experiences, the human body, and falling awkwardly in social situations as a way of understanding the world around him, connecting his audience with himself. With cameras, low-cost materials, and his body, Lyle approaches objects as unstable presences shaped by improvisation and bodily proximity. He received his BFA from Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design in the Fine Arts, New Studio Practice major in the spring of 2026.
